Brian Hinson

Alain Reille

Brian is a graduate of the Professional Actors’ Training Program at Southern Methodist University. Soon after college, he played Michael O’Keefe’s roommate in the film Split Image and Pat Paulsen’s son in the play God’s Favorite. As a playwright, his work was presented in New York City featuring Kathy Bates, Darren McGavin, and Frances Sternhagen. He also worked with Estelle Parsons as the text coach for her productions of As You Like It and Romeo and Juliet at the Public Theatre and on Broadway.
 

As a proud Canadian actor, he has worked with many companies in BC including The Chemainus Theatre Festival, United Players, Queer Arts Society, Fighting Chance Productions, and UBC. His favourite roles are

the cantankerous Irish farmer, Tony, in Outside Mullingar; the licentious Judge hooked on cold medicine in Romance (Best of Fringe 2012); the Nazi officer, Dr. Conrad, in Taken at Midnight; the US President-Elect, John, Sr., in Now or Later (CTC Best Supporting Actor Nom); and Frank Hadley, the seasoned newspaper editor in Chimerica. Brian is delighted to add Alain in The God of Carnage and Teatro Los Enamorados to his favourites.
